I undertake a variety of research commissions ranging from large scale quantitative audience surveys to stakeholder interviews and public discussion groups. Some recent research projects include:

For the Circulate consortium I undertook an exploration of how audiences develop a critical understanding of outdoor arts, and what organisations can do to facilitate this greater engagement. The research included focus group discussions with audiences at the Stockton International Riverside Festival as well as various Circulate partners.

With colleagues at People make it work I supported Culture Central, a new Birmingham based cultural network to understand the needs of their potential members and devise a compelling membership offer.

I led a large scale quantitative enquiry into the film and cinema habits of audiences under 30 across Northern Ireland for Film Hub NI.

For the national Creative People and Places (CPP) programme I am mapping and analysing approaches to new audience engagement across the 21 Places in partnership with my colleague Clare Thurman.
